2003 VUE 3.0L
Default 03 Vue 3.0 too rich

I have a 2003 Vue 3.0 with 200k miles and it is throwing P0172 and P0175 codes. I am being told to change the MAF sensor and possibly the O2 sensors but that still might not be the problem. I'm not sure if the car is worth $500 in just sensors. Is there any way I can test the MAF and or the O2 sensors. Or is there something else I can do to get a more exact diagnosis this engine has 4 oxygen sensors at $100 each if they are not bad I really don't want to change them. Any information on this would be great.

Yes, there's are ways to check sensors. Measuring output voltage with a multimeter or reading the various signals from a reader plugged into the OBD II port. One of the signals should display maf sensor output, in grams per second or other value. Maf sensor cleaner can help by flushing dirt collected over the years. Was the air filter ever replaced?
