2008 VUE 3.6L
Default Head Gasket???

Hoping for not. My wife's '08 3.6L Vue got hot last Thursday. Immediately pulled over and shut off. Check water light came on...so I did. It was a gallon low. No apparent leaks anywhere. Couldn't even smell coolant. No water in oil. No smoke out the tail pipes. Engine runs normal. No CEL. No codes. 120,000 miles.

Had to go out of town and just returned today. Removed engine cover and noticed pool of coolant on top of the engine and in a small valley just below the what I assume to be the thermostat housing of the driver side of the engine.

Any help would greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Patrick
