2004 VUE 3.5L
Default Knock sensor error code P0325

2004 3.5L Vue

I know this has been discussed before but I'm still a bit confused. Got a CEL the other day, went to Autozone and they read a P0325 error. Got home and immediately ordered a replacement, arriving tomorrow. After reading all I could find here and on Y-tube, it appears there is 1 and only 1 knock sensor on the car, described by Autozone as being located in Bank 1 (which I thought was on the firewall side of the car). I haven't been able to find a good video or 'write up' on how to replace the sensor. If it does entail removing several pieces off the topside of the engine I think I'll try a couple other options (gas additive, tank of higher octane fuel) before tackling what appears to be a several hour job for an amateur like myself. P.S. I have a car inspection due by end of May.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Jeffrey and thanks to 'far2grumpy' for sending me PDF's of the steps required to get to the sensor.
