Fuel Pump/Fuel Line Issues
Saturn Sl2 1998 160,000 miles.
stalling out. Changed Crank Sensor and coil pack. checked fuses to fuel pump and sounds like fuel pump is getting electricity. Anyway, took out gas tank, took out pump, seems as though new pump has different fittings, so I'll either have to take out the little module inside the new pump and put it in the old one or somehow get the fittings off the plastic tubes and switch them. I also broke the ending to one of the elbows to the fuel filter while I was taking the gas tank off, I'm trying to find out how hard it is to just replace that. I've seen vids where people boil or use a hair dryer to soften the fuel line and take off the fitting and put in a new one. Dorman seems to have replacements for several of the parts I broke so I might be in luck there. anyway, any advice and help is appreciated.
