Default dis/reconnected battery, now car running smoother?

I disconnected the battery on my "new" 95 SC1 for a while while I cleaned and acid neutralized the tray and surrounding area. Since reconnecting the battery the car seems to be running smoother both at idle and highway speeds. Is that possible? The SES light (code 32) went out and stayed out afterwards too. I opened the hood intending to clean the EGR valve when I got sidetracked 😄.

My guess is that when the EGR code 32 disappeared then so did your engine issues. Unless your battery connections were corroded or loose, the battery would have no effect except on starting performance.

Reconnecting the battery will have forced a EGR position relearn.
