Default 2004 Saturn Vue Noise

Hi all, I recently got a 04 Saturn Vue, ~153k miles 5 speed manual. I'm not sure if this is normal, but when the engine is started I can hear this "puff?" noise (in the video it does it almost every second or so). I really don't know how to describe it. You can hear it in the video that I took and linked to at the end(also sorry its horizontal ).

What could that be coming from? What should I check /do about it?

Also I'm not allowed to post the link, its

/watch?v=2YgUMCy0GG4

I have done minor work like radiator changes, motor mounts, fuel pumps, serpentine belt etc. Haven't really messed with timing chains at all. I thought timing chains should be able to last a long time before having to mess with them ?

But I'm willing to look, if you tell me what to look for!

I agree that there seems to be some engine noise which may be related to the timing chain components. While viewing and listening to the video I was able to hear the other sound which the OP referred to. Listening through headphones helped to differentiate the sounds . The noise was more present when the camera was near the drive belt area. I could be wrong, but I think it's coming from the alternator or the drive belt tensioner. If you have an automotive stethoscope or a very long shanked screw driver to place against those parts while the engine is running you could bear it more clearly for yourself.
