Dizzy 2006 Vue Oddity???

Guys/Gals,

I'm new here as I don't own any Saturns, but have been recently working on my mother-inlaw's 2006 Saturn Vue for her as I work on all my own cars and have always owned GM's. This car is a bit of an oddity as I'm running into some issues with parts. I recently went to replace the motor and transmission mounts as they are tired and some are starting to separate, however when I ordered the parts they are not fitting this car. The car is a base model Vue with the I4 and auto trans (FW drive). The strange thing is I have found the mounts on this car are actually for a 2008 2.4L I4 and I can confirm this car has never been worked on and she purchased it new in 2006 and is the original owner. I'm at a loss here as I even had the VIN run by the parts department at a local Chevy dealer and they can't figure out why this car has these motor mounts? Any ideas here?

Here are the part numbers for the mounts on the vehicle:

Motor Mount (Passenger Side Front Top) - 25945707
Transmission Mount Upper (Driver Side Top) - 15239920
Transmission Mount Rear (lower rear) - 10381553
Transmission Mount Front (lower front) - 25911133

Is there a way I can tell if this is actually a 2.4L I4 vs. the 2.2L I4 that should be in this vehicle?

Thanks for any input you can provide.

Dave

Google search the vin number of the vehicle. You'll be able to decode the vin from there.

2007 ION-2 Quad Coupe
Default Re: 2006 Vue Oddity???

Look at the VIN.

The VIN of a 2007 VUE starts with 5 while a 2008 VUE starts with 3.

For the engine, look at the eighth digit of the VIN. The 2.2L would be a D while a 2.4L would be a P.
