I'm curious, toggenburg: while you had the LW200 did you use this TCW3 in it as well? If so, was there any improvement inf fuel economy? If you didn't use it in the LW, why did you chose not to?

So I just add it to my gas on a fill up ?

I have been adding TCW3 rated 2 cycle oil to the gas since Fall 2012. My emission tests in 2013, 2015 & 2017 were dramatically lower than previous tests.

I think most just fill up and add the 2 cycle oil later. The standard optimum ratio is 640:1 or 1 ounce per 5 gallons of fuel. If you purchase the Supertech gallon at Wal-Mart it works out to ~20 cents a dose for a 10 gallon fill-up. Get a Stabil container that portions out the ounces or get a Dollar Tree baby bottle to measure out the oil.

Here is the thread that started it all

That's some good info. I may start giving that a try as well.

Well Pierrot,

The LW was my wife's car and whether I did consistently add the TCW3 I just recall; the reason being that the car as in the driveway while our house burnt to the ground last year & alot of it's panels melted in the heat.

That level of stress has kinda blocked out some normal recall about that car.

The pump said 10% ethanol. How do they know there is not ethanol in the gas?

If the pump label does not match the claim and/or price then just test it for alcohol. Simple to do. Kits are at the local general aviation airport.
