2004 ION-3 Sedan
Question Wiring New Fog Lights

So I did not have any factory fog lights so I picked up a set that run off Bluetooth and just need to be wired in the front of the car and no switches to the inside. Normally I would go straight to the battery but since that is in the trunk I was looking for options under the hood. Where would be the best place to wire this? I do not like those splice kits and would like to find a bolt on for the positive at least since the ground can pretty much go anywhere.
Any tips would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I was thinking of trying to find a constant power source that I can add the lights to which already have an inline fuse and about an 1/8 inch bolt.

On the underhood fuse box, there are two screws that stick up, both on the front side. The engine side one has a lead that goes to the starter. The outside one (wheel side) brings in power from the battery.

I would think about connecting to the engine side one, labeled B+ (iirc) on the wiring schematics and putting my own in-line fuse on my wire. It is a good open location and very easy to connect on to. All you will need is a 10mm socket or wrench to get the nut off.

For the ground, you could probably just tap into the metal of the body anywhere.

If you don't have any wiring diagrams yet, if you open a MyZone account at AutoZone under Vehicle Repair Guides (left side of page, under MyVehicle) there are many wiring diagrams.

Actually I would prefer to go to the live one which is the outer one by the wheel. There is a low voltage cut off and in line fuse that I am using as well so it won't let the battery drop too low. I like to be able to turn on the fog lights with the wireless control which also lets me change the colors as well.

How about a piggy back fuse. Quick no wire cutting and the original circuit has its own fuse and the fog lights have their own fuse.

In that case it would be sharing power with what ever else is on the shared circuit though and I prefer to use a higher gauge wire that is by itself so it doesn't draw from anywhere else or have to worry about the jumper going bad and effecting the original item. That is an interesting idea though and if I add more to the front I might be able to incorporate it elsewhere. My truck has a fuse block I added to the back with direct power to work auxiliary outlets and a hitch mounted winch. This would help to not have to replace the box with a larger one.
