Default 1996 Saturn SL2 Stalled now won't start 118k help

Hello fellow Saturn people! I have a 1996 Saturn SL2 with 118,000 miles that just died on me while I was driving down the road. It's stalled out a couple of times in stop and go traffic in the past when I pressed the brakes but it has not been unable to start until now. It will start when it's cold but dies after about 4-5 minutes and won't start again. Battery is good. SES light has been on for a few months and I am getting error codes:

P0404(Exhaust Gas Recirculation Control Circuit Range/Performance), P1404(Manufacturer Controlled Auxiliary Emission Controls) and P0711(Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance)

I took a stab in the dark and installed a new brass ECTS because I read on the forums it can cause some of the symptoms I had but I just fired it up and it died after 4 minutes and won't start. I've been able to do many repairs with this car following Richpins youtube videos but I am admittedly pretty bad at diagnostics. Anyone have any thoughts on what I should try next?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Sounds like a crankshaft position sensor (cps). They often intermittently fail hot, leaving you dead on the road until it cools off enough to begin working again.
