2004 VUE Red Line
Default Weird noise

So my Vue Redline has been making an odd noise when turning the wheel all the way to the right. I was thinking ball joint or CV axle. I took it to Les Schwab, who I've been going to for years, and they looked at it. They did a shake down and he said everything was good with the front end, but they suspected it to be the transmission. I thought that sounds odd that it's louder and more pronounced when turning to the right. Could that be a possibility? It's a very hard noise to describe. The best I can think is a thumping rubbing sound that gets faster the faster you go. Thoughts?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Keen,
What year is it?? Look at the intermediate shaft bearing that goes from the transmission to the right side CV axle. Look at wheel bearing, brakes hanging up, etc.

It was the driver's side CV axle. When they had it up, they noticed the passengers rear CV axle is going out too. And both tie rods. So it's being fixed now. Les Schwab really dropped the ball!
