2003 Saturn Vue 3.0 L
Hi there, I have a 2003 vue 3.0L with a transmission problem. Any help will be really appreciated:
P0974 and P0700 (in that order)
It starts but doesn't rev up to 2000 RPM, with the shift in D position it looks like it goes in 5th gear, so if you move it to the L or R position it makes a clunk noise but it goes, then you pass it to D and it goes struggling up to 20 mph or so, when it warms up a little bit the engine stalls and it's very hard to crank it again.
What I did so far:
Changed the transmission fluid with new Toyota T-IV as per manual specs.
Swapped the TCM for a used one from the junk yard.
Pulled apart the battery tray to gain access to the harness and checked all the transmission plugs and checked continuity to the TCM plug. All of them checked OK except for two that read some resistance (367 oms).
If I have to change the Solenoid valve A should I have to remove the whole transmission or is that a do-it-your-self job?
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Re: 2003 Saturn Vue 3.0 L
It can be done on the car. You have to drop one side of the cradle and pull the strut out of the way to gain access to the cover. Search for a write up here and in the L series forums. May be a you tube vid too.
