Behind the front grill opening, below the solid bumper cover, drivers side.
Hard to get to without removing the entire front cover.

Question Re: where the heck is the ambient temp sensor???

Is this the temp sensor that on the DIC tells me intermittently to be aware of icy road conditions at say -4c when the actual outdoor temp is actually say +20c .

While on warranty had Saturn(Canada) supposedly replace the temp sensor. 3rd one still exhibits the intermittent problem.
When it errorneously states lower than +4c no air conditioning till travel enough that the computer sys somehow gets the correct signal thru.

Oh, second time in they replaced a portion(?) of wiring to include the aux button, with a more intuitive (IMHO) button that states "Rear".

Reading the previous post about location of this 'ambient temp. sensor' and not hearing or seeing any evidence of them peeling off the "front cover" to remove temp sensor and still having intermittent incorrect temp readings wonder if SaturnCanada dealership ever did swap out the sensors as indicated on workorder ... too late now.

This may help or not - from Saturn Vue files, an image of the ambient temperature sensor hidden behind the front facia (bumper?). Removal of the front bumper is necessary on Vues to have access to removing/replacing it. Looking under the front bumper for a two wire harness leading to the sensor may help before attempting to remove the bumper. Service manuals no longer have photo illustrations, detailed line drawings or black and white photos to show where things are. Drawings are for Vues, not Outlooks. Mine (L300) peeks out behind the lower grille opening and visible.
