1999 SL2
Default Newish '99 homecoming

Bought my first car. It's a 1999 Saturn Homecoming. Pictures to be posted once it's daylight and you can see it....
Replaced the stereo added all weather mats (I'm keeping all the former mats/radio system). Debating whether to add fog lights or new speakers next.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

It's probably past the time where you need to worry about it, but a week ago, I was driving through blowing snow at night.

With my regular low beams on, it looked like a wall of white. I was driving maybe 40 mph, and that felt too fast. Turned on the fog lamps, turned off the low beans, and the white wall disappeared. Turned the low beams on, white wall again. So, in the right conditions, fog lights are a big safety thing.

If you add fog lights, add the stock stuff on the inside so it looks stock but put decent ones on the bumper instead of the stock things.

Overall my experience with stock fog lights on any vehicle is...good speakers are more cost effective

My 3rd gen fogs (SC2) seem pretty good. They need to be aimed, though.

Was considering an LED light bar, mounted in the nose opening, after I get my wiring issues (PO hack job) sorted.

That looks like a really nicely maintained car! How many miles on it, (and if you don't mind, how much did you pay?)

<-- as my avatar shows, my car was considerably more beaten up when I bought it

It's in good shape, some paint wear (especially on the spoiler) but only has 125K on it (prior use primarily towed behind RV), it belonged to my grandparents (to low to the ground so they upgraded and I got it.) Kind of embarrassed to state price cause it was pretty much given to me (under 1k).

No worries, sounds like a fair price for both sides. You get a nice, reliable car, and they know it is going to a good home /someone who will care for it.

My wife made the same comment (too low to the ground for our age - we're in our 50s) the first time she sat in my SC2 last week. I was driving her to pick up our other minivan from the dealership

Nice score! I picked up my Homecoming Edition for $700 around Thanksgiving time, 2015.
