Default My first Saturn

Just picked up this 2000 SL1. I don't even know what the color is called lol.

I have a friend who bought a new car and didn't have room for this one. It has 201k miles with some issues and she wasn't willing to dump more money into it. She told me about it on Friday and before noon on Saturday it was mine for the sweet price of $100.00.

So far I've done the water pump, thermostat and a ton of cleaning.

Plans over the coming weeks include:
Valve cover gasket (oil is everywhere under the hood)
Oil change
Spark plugs
Exhaust shield fix. It fell and is rattling on the exhaust
Hub caps
Wiper motor (won't stop wiping lol)
New interior (prep owners were smokers)
Timing chain

The engine is quite loud at times so I'm not sure if there is an issue with the Engine or the transmission. Those are my only fears with the high mileage however so far running fine on my one short trip, despite the noises.

Thanks for welcoming me.
