You need to turn on the ignition to program so I don't theirs a problem with starting and trying it out . don't do this to an IPC or BCM that store milage.

Battery Energy Control Module Programming and Setup
If the generator battery disconnect control module is replaced or has to be reprogrammed, it must be programmed using the service programming system (SPS). Refer to Service Programming System (SPS).

this may be different if it is an aftermarket part

Alrighty.. I am just waiting on the jumper harness at this
point so the harness will reach .. and we'll see where that gets me.

By now I have spares for every part of the
hybrid system, excluding the sgcm since it was
supposedly bad when replaced and the removed
part was treated poorly (thrown in a box)... so
with luck I have everything needed outside of
programming to get this thing to behave.

Thanks again for your input, helps a lot with my
sanity level.

I've replaced my BECM, and I started up and now I'm getting 14+ volts and it's charging the battery, success it's drivable. I am having an issue with the hybrid system and getting code p1a62. I can drive and you will see the charge/assist acting normally and you can feel it helping, auto stop was working after driving for a while... then Ice had this issue where the charge gauge begins only moving about 1-8th of the way left, and never to the right, stopping and starting the car stopped that and brought it back to normal then I got a code p1a62, the gauge stopped working at all, but I still had the ECo light and was making 14v, so still drivable just n hybrid function. I'm looking into this now, figured I'd post in case someone had input. I have not had the car programmed yet, I replaced the BECM and everything was working as stated.
