Default Steering handling issue

I have an Outlook question that may be more of a standard auto repair question, but figured Iíd start here.

I own a 2009 Outlook which I just bought, Iíve owned an 08 for years. Both front wheel drive.

Iíve found on the 09 that every bump in the road pulls the wheel, so much that in snow I couldnít even drive straight. I do not get this with the 08. I had it looked at and they said a sway bar linkage was loose (not broken) and that the tires were bad (actually about half way to the wear indicator). I did have them put the better rear tires up front and it helped a little.
Problem is even with the better tires every man hole cover or cracked pavement still grabs the wheel. Iíve not felt this in any other car. I canít imagine itís all from one loose linkage?
Any thoughts?

Maybe your steering gear (rack and pinion)? I replaced mine roughly a year ago, but can't remember what steering problem I had. Not sure how much help this is for you.
