2008 Outlook XR
Default 2008 Outlook Coil pack replacement; how to get to rears

Hi everyone. We have a 2008 Outlook throwing the code P0304 Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected. Everyone once in a while you feel the engine skip and finally it threw the code. Unfortunately I think Cyl 4 is in the rear of the engine. From the left side while facing the front, I "THINK" cylinder numbering goes
2 4 6
1 3 5

Is that correct? Meaning #4 is right in the middle rear. I don't see how I get to it?

Anyone have any easy steps for the do it yourselfer to gain access to the rear of the motor?

Thanks!

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

I believe #4 is the middle plug in "front" of the engine.

general advice: Old mattress pads laid over rubber "ensolite" camping pads( think "cushy hard" rubber) allow you to lay down in the engine bay to get up front and personal with the rear.

The backs are easy. You just disconnect the wire connector, loosen the bolt and pull out the coil. The fronts you have to take off the air intake. To get to the backs you have to take off the oil cap and pull off the cover.
