Default Exhaust Valve?

Thank you for reading my question. I have a 2009 saturn vue 3.6 6 cylinder. Low compression in cylinder 2. New plugs, new coil, still engine light on and blinks when at idle speeds, fine when driving speeds. Stronger than normal exhaust smell when parked with engine on. Put some oil in cylinder 2, but didnt improve engine blinking when testing in my driveway. Would that be a burned exhaust valve? This has been a lingering problem for a long time, i would appreciate any help so very much!!!!
