Default Oil Leaking, passenger side

Hi folks, My mom has a 2008 Saturn outlook XR. She's at 170k Klms (about 100k miles)
It's developed an oil leak on the passenger side, and drips mainly at the drain screw (it's not that though). I've looked around online, and found a lot of info on the Acadia forums about the timing chain cover gasket leaking... would that be consistent with outlooks?

Also, apparently normal is the power steering fluid leaking...

What's common?
Anyone else run into this?
Any Tips?

Thanks!

Edward

Have you tried wiping everything down and doing a really good leak check with a mirror and flashlight? Or take off the top cover and verify it's nothing leaking from there and going down the engine. Hope you find the leak and it's an easy and cheap fix.

Yeah, it's incredibly difficult to get to anything on that engine unfortunately :-(

Attention Re: Oil Leaking, passenger side

A couple wks back I had a oil change done at a dealership (only reason it is done similiar setup to one of those quick lube joints ) The wrench turner mentioned this time about a probable oil leak on the passenger side.

I noted but did not take them up on their offer to make an appt. since unless emergency work required I won't give this dealership any biz due to one of their mechanics breaking my wind deflector and leaving greasy palm prints all over it and hood ...and saying it was broke previous !

Time to make an appt. at a (trusted) third party garage, and see if they come up with the same items, (also oil change crew prev. made mention, of a minor tranny leak).

Won't happen, the oil comes from the front of the engine, no where near the exhaust manifold

Edward.
