It looks like it's a go.

For anybody else looking for small parts the international shipping for this was quoted at $9 USD via Canada Post.

Gen3 console in a Gen2 requires changing the complete console from front to back with a few modifications to the parking brake lever. There is a write up in the mods section.

The dome lights are good, to my knowledge they have never been removed. I'd have to attempt removal which of coarse would risk breaking the tabs. There are 2 of them in a wagon so I would have 2 chances!

Both would fit the hole in my car?

Yes, the front dome lamp and rear dome lamp are both the same part number.

Meaning, it's a go with your sale to Johnny, or it's a go with me? Please PM me details, price, etc., if it's available.

Hot summer day and pre-warming the plastic tab with a hairdryer might help the tab. Or, unless the headliner is in good shape, you can always just cut the dome light out

It's a go with John and already shipped.

Thanks for the advice. The headliner is in perfect shape but I did think to cut them out since it looks like the car is going to the scrap yard anyways. Is it the lens that the tabs break off or the fixture assembly?

Ah, OK, thanks anyway.

It's the tab on the assembly that is fragile, and breaks when removing the assembly. There's a richpin video showing removal. (no need to remove the lens, other than if replacing bulb)

Not that it's complicated but I always forget which side the tab is on, and end up poking around if I haven't watched the video lately.

Since the headliner is in good shape, there might be an SW owner in the market at some point in the future

I'm pleased and saddened to announce that this car is finally sold in it's entirety for much less than the worth of its parts. I couldn't bring myself to tear it apart.

A farmer type older gentleman from the outskirts of town who already owns a 99 SW2 bought it and plans to make it road worthy again. This is just what this car needed was someone with the skill set and the means to repair the rust issues. I dropped it off this evening at the farm, removed the plates and wished it well.

So ends the era of Saturn for a retired lady (aka Mom) after 22 consecutive years driving SW2's (93 SW2 AT & 2000 SW2 AT).

Oh, I should mention that the 2 key FOBs are still available for sale. Here are photos of the front and back. Both have been tested and work. These are for Gen3 only (2000-2002) or will also work with other select GM models from 2000-2005 model years. See post 32 for reference.
