Well, is there a difference between the clutch actuator and the clutch master/slave cylinder? Are they the same, or do different cars have different parts?
I was told a short while ago that Saturn wanted to replace my clutch along with the actuator that was leaking according to them. I periodically check the clutch fluid reservoir and there's not a DROP missing! I have a 94 SL2 manual trans. with 194,000 miles on it. HELP! thanx ... 1996 Dodge Avenger ES: 2.5L V6

yes, these are the same thing. Your mechanic might mean that it is leaking internally. This is evident in that it may be hard to get the car in gear when the engine is running. And/or the clutch pedal has to be pressed almost to the floor before it disengages.

But if that was the case I would think the reservoir would be showing signs. Get a second opinion.
I bought a lot of time just replacing the hydraulic assembly on the clutch.

Well, Saturn told me of the leak, but I KNOW they did not take anything apart. The second opinion I DID get was at AAMCO and they said if it's not leaking, there's nothing to worry about.
I don't see how Saturn could have known anything was leaking if nothing was taken apart and there's no fluid depleted. The car is not that difficult to get into gear, but it does take some effort, especially when coasting and then trying to put it in first at any speed above 0 mph. thanks ... 1996 Dodge Avenger ES: 2.5L V6
