Default 2005 Saturn Ion troubles..

It all started a couple months ago; my Ion had all the sudden started dropping RPM's whilst in a drive-thru. It would drop to approx. 500 rpm, the lights and dashboard would dim, then it would jump back up to it's average idle. This continued for some time until it got worse this beginning of winter. It would do the same thing as before, but now the RPM's would drop too low and the car would stall. I ran some codes off the OBDII and I got P0300 (Random Cylinder Misfire) and another code that I can't recall but concerned the MAP sensor, which I have now replaced. The car was sitting a while waiting for the part and also resides in Canada meaning it sat in the cold. With the sensor replaced, and the battery charged, we finally got it to start. I drove maybe half a block and then the car just shut off completely. I tried turning it back on, but the dash would rapidly click and the engine wouldn't even turn over. I have guessed that maybe I need to reset the ECU but am running out of ideas at this point. Somebody has had to have had this problem and I am looking for any ideas! Thanks.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Fix the misfire. Hopefully you didn't ruin the engine. Search on here, this is a common issue
