I think they usually start producing them in June or July and they end up at the dealerships around August or so. Just a guess

2004 QCs are a ways out, considering they just shipped the '03s to dealerships. Maybe they will push out the '04 a little early like they did when the VUE had its debut, but I would count on at least 6-7 more months.

I think Saturn released the QC so late in the model year to claim it as an 03 model so they could claim it to be the FIRST coupe with quad doors and beat Mazda's 2004 RX8 to the market. If both were 04 models then legally no one could claim as being "the first" they could only claim as be "one of the first".

While I think the QC and the RX8 compete in 2 totally different markets because of their price and performance differences I think GM really wanted to claim theirs as the "FIRST" for marketing and advertising reasons.

The QC has to be one of the latest model-year product launches in GM history.

Saturn has to start making 2004 models soon because every other company will start discounting 03 models around Aug/September to make room for the 2004's. No way is Saturn going to continue to make 03's models when eveyone else is already making 04's.

I was checking out the Saturn Welcome Center website and came across this.

"Due to the model year change over, the Saturn plant will be closed and tours will not be conducted June 28, 2003 through July 14, 2003. Tours will resume on July 15, 2003. We apologize for any inconvenience in our tour schedule."

Redine Ion most likely wont be out until around March 2004. Im sure after the Redline is shown again @ the 2004 LA and Detriot Autoshows in January Saturn will officially start taking preorders.

Almost every magazine I have read has stated the Redline will be out in early 2004.
