So this just in. Cobalt power steering motor will work in our cars. Yah i know you knew that. But what i didnt know was the whole unit will not. It fits but it doesnt speak to our bcm. This is unproven but so far my findings. Any othere have tried this?

no the epscm(electric power steering control module )will not probably work due to the fact it has a different vin and rpo list programmed into it.. also without some research i have no time for the gm high speed lan and low speed lan&class 2 comm pins on the connecter may have a different pin out than your car.. possably the same but not sure but it deffanatly has the wrong programming for your car..just change the moter over

shure you can trust the government, just ask us indians all about it...

chevy and saturn use different programs altogether, even different protocols. not to mention for sure different ECUs and possibly even different BCMs, so it makes perfectly good sense. anything computer controlled won't work unless it's a transmission, and you use the saturn TCM and sensors.
