Thumbs Up Installation videos

As most of you probably know, we will be installing the following items on our '98 SC2 this week:

HKS Exhaust
KYB Struts
Dogbone motor mounts
Short-throw-shifter

If anyone would like a video of any of these installations, let me know. I can do DVD or VHS, for quite cheap. The videos will include the entire install, from beginning to end, with narration.

FYI, I own Enchanted Lands Video here in Roswell, and have an entire digital production studio with digital software and equipment. I also work for K.T. Productions, and we specialize in instructional videos. So taping the installs and editing to make a smooth, easy-to-follow video, with narration, is a piece of cake for me.

Thought you guys might be interested. Let me know. steph@streetspeedmotorsports.com or roswellgriffith@aol.com.

I'm interested in the motor mounts, but I think I can fudge my way through it. I wouldn't want to put you out just for me.

That was very thoughtful of you though!

Well, I'm making the videos anyway, whether anyone buys them or not, just to say I made them!

It's very easy for me to make these videos. I even have a DVD burner that prints the labels on the DVDs (no stupid stick-on labels) and burns the DVDs, and can do 20 an hour. I can also record 8 VHS tapes at once, from a DVD. My equipmetn and software is all digital, all done with a Hi-8 digital camera and Pinnacle Pro Version 8 on the computer. I don't use cheapie crap!

So anyway, I'll let everyone know when these videos are done (in a week or two).

Stephanie,

Greetings from a little further north. I'd dig checking out the videos. How much?

You could do VCD too. That is really inexpensive and doesn't hurt quality too much.

Hey, who is your ISP in Roswell?

The problem with VCD is that some people can't play them. We tried that; didn't get good results, so we've been sticking with DVD and VHS at work. Most people don't know this, but a blank DVD is about $2, and a blank VHS is about $1. Just goes to show how much of a markup there is on movies and music cds.

My ISP in Roswell is AOL (at home) and Trailnet at work. We have DSL at work, which is sooo nice (except for when other people's stuff gets printed on our printers... damn networks.)

Cost for the videos will be $20 for VHS and $25 for DVD. That's pretty cheap, as most DIY instructional videos go for around $40-50. The last video we did, The Rider's Guide to Motorcycle Maintenance, sells for $49.95. I'm offering these for practically half price. I just wouldn't feel right charging more for my fellow SaturnFans! The only thing you guys are paying for is the time and effort I'll be putting into these videos. I want them to come out very easy-to-follow and helpful.

The company I wok for is talking about expansion in Roswell. I was just wondering who you used, because we are currently down there.

Will it be 4 seperate videos or just 1 big one?

I went with AOL cause my MSN was cancelled and I didn't really like it. I'd had AOL before and liked it. It's fast for dial-up, and no popups! I really want wireless, though.

The videos will be 4 seperate ones, with a discount if you want all 4.
