Default 09 Aura Electrical issues

Ok failed weatherstripping has put me in a pickle. My front two door locks don't actuate. My trunk didn't work but troubleshooting found a bad switch. My doors need new actuators. Instead does anyone know of a rebuild procedure? I have a gajillion miles on my car so no warranty.

Oh, if you can resuscitate actuators, I will be indebted to you. Both of my driver's side actuators are 'out' right now, and I have already replaced both passenger side ones.

Our actuators are junk. They will fail, just a matter of when (still waiting for mine to fail). You can get some all purpose actuators off of eBay or such and use them. Lots of good info here:

Yeah, they are junk. Our fellow owners have been kind enough on here to give all of the old and new part numbers for 'better' actuators. I just have not purchased them yet since I want to purchase both at the same time. I have yet to find a place to get both that I need at once. Let us know how the rebuild goes if you figure it out.

Been there, done that. The case is riveted but I suppose if you are more patient than I was you might be able to split them open non-destructively.

ARGGH. Don't bother, spend the 100 and get a new one. Between the solid rivets and everything just get an upgrade

Those latches had failure designed in. I haven't split open any newer ones yet so I don't know if they have corrected this issue. I know the part number has been superseded several times.

greenman, thank you for such good info. I am willing to buy 'new' actuators, but I was wondering what my best source was. I was charged OEM prices from LKQ before, and getsaturnparts.com only had one of what I need. What do you think?
