They are tight. Check for burs on the ring groove and once it is actually in the cavity then it is block and hammer time. I think ShawnV made a video so you can see how hard to hit it.

That would be the most likely point of failure, dead alternator.

To do your own alignment you must have a level floor. Concrete garage works, got one?

If it is not absolutely level you have to mark all 4 tire points and construct pads to establish a level plain right to left and front to back. Takes a good carpenters level and a couple of straight boards to reach the front back and left right tire points. Cheap plywood will work for pads and you need at least 2 blocks of 2x4 about 4" long. You use them on the side on each tire point to act as points to set level to. Probably the hardest part of the job.

Yay more testing.... ugg lol. Ok so I'm pretty sure its the alternator. I out In my trucks battery and the cat ran perfect for like half an hour then died. Pit the battery back In the truck and the truck baaaaarely started. Battery was super low. This truck has a new battery and never has battery issues. Was thinking of leaving the truck off and turning the saturn on and jumping it to the truck to use the volt meter in its dash. Saturn don't have one and that's all I got.

Also if I do need a new alternator. What is the easiest and fastest way to take one out and is a pick n pull alternator a good idea? I have $60 left to my name atm.

Pick and pull is a shot in the dark. These are new and cheap.http://www.db-starter-alternator.com...ar-output.aspx The price includes the FedEx shipping.

Youtube, search for richpin06a saturn pulls up a long list of DIY info. This is about the only way to get it out of there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iogtiYraHCg

So pulling the alternator out is hyper simple. Cool. And I cant afford those. I have 60 bucks left and no job. I don't have a job until this car is up and running either. Kinda nasty little catch 22. Ok ill work o. This and let you guys know. Thanks a bunch

If it ran fine with a charged battery your computer is not dieing. I would check all the wiring to the alternator along with grounds. Also did you buy a new alternator or is it a junkyard part?

Junkyard part. Imma go test them tomorrow or so. It only has 120000 miles on it and it looks all shiny. But gonna test It. Just wondering if I could get some help with diagrams or something for ignition. Also what the fuses on the inside panel are. I don't have a cover for it so they are just mystery fuses under the dash
