I love that you're saving an SC, and I think many of us want to see you succeed. And I know what is like when money is in short supply. The salvage yard is your friend! I don't know if they do this everywhere, but some salvage yards have "discount" days. The one near me is having a 50% off everything during Memorial Day weekend (I'm preparing for it).

Anyway, I hope you get the parts your car needs. Good luck!

Thanks so much! I hope I can get her nice! Thanks for the sub!

update:so there's a bit sad news. The clutch died last night. Car wont move and I hurt my hand. So I gotta wait for money and tools to replace clutch. If anyone has a lit of every tool and part im gonna need that would help.

Also I lost my job today so that puts a huge damper on things. I love my sc but she is down for a while till I can get a new clutch and shifter cable (that broke again. Just gonna get a new one instead of fixing this one lol)

Also I dunno if this is ok to do here but im kinda social if anyone has any ideas or lives nearby and has parts or just wants to help or see the car text or xall me at 360-608-6375

Right pics. Ill work k that asap. Ive been so frustrated trying to get money for a pick n pull trans. Its not looking good. Ive got 50 bucks to my name left. If anyone has a spare manual laying around that could bring it to me that would rock however I know that wouldn't happen. Trying to get this thing going again. Ill get pics up soon. Tomorrow and the next day check for them.

I kinda want to get a completely different DHOC motor and build it on a stand and then put it in when done.
I don't know if they fit directly, but I have 2 black leather seats out of a 2002 SC2, as well as the stock gauge cluster for the same car, has a few burnt out lights. PM me if you're interested more. Good luck with the car!

Ok got new transmission from pick n pull. Went into the car without much problem but then I found the driver side axle seal leaks. Great. When trying to replace it ive found I'm having issues pulling it out. I know there's a snap ring somewhere but I don't know where. The seal will not come out to save my life. I have the new seal in hand however I need to get this old seal out first if anybody has any pictures or instructions on how to get the snap ring out or any trIcks that will help that would be super awesome

Take an awl and solvent and clean out the area at the outer edge of the seal and case. Try not to gouge up the aluminum. It is a round wire ring and yo get to pick up and end to get it out.

So its not the little ring inside the seal against the axle bearing?

Alright next dilemma. How to get the new seal In. I have a 3" exhaust pipe that fits the outside edge perfectly but I cant keep it straight or have it go in right. Not very much room to hammer either. Any ideas? Does it take just a huge amount of pounding to get it in?

It does not require force, finesse is the secret. Clean the cavity well and be absolutely sure there are no burs on the outside edge. Start one side barely in and tap the other side in and towards the side that is already in. That should get it to the point the tube will work. Tube and a block of wood and tap on the high side as you go around. Once it is all the way in then you can drive it all the way in to the bottom.
