Default What Trailer Wiring?

Hey forums! Just wondering, what wiring kit would be best used with my '99 SL2? Or, can I fabricate one for cheaper?
FYI my taillights are LED, and I'm wanting all lights to be LED eventually.

(Don't worry, I'll only be towing a 6ft. trailer with a small go-kart.)

I use this one http://www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-V...id=19991175778. Haven't tried it with LEDs though.

What effect, if any, would LEDs have? Obviously their resistance is lower.

^^^^ Curt is generally good quality. Except don't use those dreadful scotch-lock things. Cut (or strip), splice, solder and heat-shrink. Most other cars, they make a "tee" harness, that plugs in wherever the vehicle's rear light harness plugs in, then the rear harness plugs into the tee, so there's no wire cutting/splicing/soldering, and none of those scotch-locks. Alas, I've never found one for our cars, most likely because there are two separate harness connectors, for the left and right rear lighting, and you'd have to tee into both. So they usu. point you to a generic setup like the above.

I was definitely planning on soldering and using heat-shrink. My main question is whether LEDs in trailer and/or car lighting would affect the operation of this device.

Why would you think LED's create any difference over stock bulbs when splicing in trailer wires into your harness? They'll draw less power, otherwise everything is business as usual.
