1994 SL
Default Hi Folks

Name is Ken, I'm located in SW Wisconsin, between La Crosse and Madison out in the "sticks", in the middle of Amish country. I drive a 94 SL with 5 speed manual, 300K on the odometer, which I acquired 14 months ago for a grand sum of $300. The engine runs perfectly, starts every time even in -10 F. Body exterior is quite nice if you don't get too close, but interior is rough. The car was well maintained by previous owners at least mechanically.

I have only put 4000 miles on it so far, mostly local trips shuttling Amish folk. I love the 5-speed stick, and the way the car handles on snowy country roads. Engine is very strong, I can be in 5th gear probably 90% of the time.

I discovered this forum yesterday while looking for info about replacing a snapped windshield arm. I had no clue that Saturns had a "fan site" and I am very glad to find this!

Hey Ken, and welcome to Saturnfans.com! There are a number of die-hard Saturn fans out there. I have a 1993 SW2 with the 5 speed stick and love it. I don't have anywhere near the miles you have on your SL2, but my 126,000 miles are mostly hard Boston city miles with a lot of stop and go driving and cold starts and stops. Be sure to check out the S-series forums where you can find out just about anything you need to know. There is also this sticky thread which can get you started with a lot of the basics.

There are a few users from Wisconsin that I know of here who are active on the site. There may be a junkyard near you where you can pick up a wiper arm on the cheap.

Anyway, welcome!

Hey cityhawk!
Ya, I have been scouring the forums for useful info and have had no trouble finding it here

Thanks to richpin's videos and postings by other knowledgable folks, I'll be trudging through my local junkyard in a couple hours knowing what to look for and what I'll be doing when I find it.
Thanks!
