I just hope we get snow. Our "4-8 inches" got revised down to "1-3 inches" for tonight/tomorrow.

I've currently got black steelies with winter tires on right now. I absolutely love how the black wheels look with the Storm Grey Vue. I'm considering looking at black aftermarket wheels at some point for it.

As for snow, no shortage here this year. Glad I got this set for a good price near the end of last winter because they've been terrific and used a lot in some tough spots.

At least the steel ones don't delaminate & wheel covers are cheap.

Looks like a white Denver Christmas...

About 3-4 years ago I was almost stranded in the Denver airport a few days before Christmas. I was on the last plane that left the airport...

You knew something was wrong when you were dragging your luggage through 8 inches of snow, and the wind was pelting your face with snow horizontally like a sand blaster... All at 6:30am

It really makes you respect our ancestors who braved the severe elements without the advanced comforts we enjoy today... Imagine the soldiers at Valley Forge without shoes and blankets...

Possibly. Lots of sunny days above freezing forecasted between now and then.

2006? That year saw tons of snow in this area. There's been much less since then. It's probably because I didn't live here then (moved here in April of 2007) and I've had winter tires since. But my plan is to replace my winter tires with all season tires when these wear out- and then I'm sure it'll snow like crazy. 'Cuz you know, it all depends on me.......

I was actually just thinking about that yesterday. I was thinking more along the lines of nomadic indians roaming the plains though. What kept them there generation after generation? Why didn't they go south?

Dunno if you can still find them, but a set of Beauty rings on a black wheel looks pretty cool! .. I would opt for that over the alloys. BTW what would you do for centercaps if you went this route?

Yeah they were a crazy bunch huh? I still have nerve damage in my feet from then those 'bullies' took my shoes & I had to walk home in the snow & slush years ago. (& yes there were more of them & they were bigger than me ...kind of an initiation here on the angry white planet) .. If I never saw another flake of snow it wouldn't bother me in the least.

I have a spare steel rim I got for cheap from an Impala. If I could get another one for $20 I would get a pair of snow tires, which would ensure no more snow here for another year.

I had steel wheels on my 04 Vue. Wish I had them on the 06 as my alloy wheels are also beginning to de-laminate.

Check these out on my post on the Noisy Duelers...

Noisy Duelers

Bet yours aren't that bad.

I think something is all wrong in the coating process, yet on occasion I see a set that looks great, possibly bad vendors were supplying GM... they never stood behind them although there were TSB's on this.
