Default Diagnostic codes??

I have a 95 SL1 that I bought for my daughter. I put it into diagnostic mode and it looks like I am getting back what I think is code #15. The check engine light flashes 1 slow 2 quick for three times in a row, then it flashes 1 slow and 5 quick flashes three times in a row then goes back to the 1 slow 2 quick for three times. Does anyone know what this code means? I couldn't find anything online.

Welcome aboard.

DTC 15 is "Engine coolant temp. circuit. Temp. out of range low"
http://www.differentracing.com/tech_...dtc_chart.html

http://www.differentracing.com/tech_...diag_info.html

You probably want to replace the ECTS (Engine Coolant Temp Sensor)

As said, the ECTS. VERY common problem on these engines and really cheap to fix.

It'll go away in 5-10 miles, depending on the part the code is for, automatically. Some parts take longer then others to be retested, the ECTS should be within 5 minutes of starting though.
You can speed up the code clearing process by pulling the PCM-B fuse in the UHJB or if you don't care about radio settings you can unplug the battery as well.
