Default Simple mods?

So I have been doing a couple little things to make my Vue different than all the other ones on the rode. I have painted all four of my Saturn emblems, put wind shields on the windows, and put some chrome stripping on the taillights. Other stuff I was thinking of doing was putting LED lights in my head light like you see on the newer cars. Also think of doing the intake and lowering but things like that take a little more money. So if anyone has any ideas for cheaper mods please let me know. Thanks Chris. 07 Vue.

There are lots of simple things you can do with your lights;

changing the wiring (signal relay, quad lights, etc)
add HIDs or projectors
tint or Lamin-X the lights/fog lights

Debong? It took me like an hour on my 03 to fight it out, but it's a pretty sweet mod

My thoughts on an LED strip in the headlights is that it would look like you are trying to copy an Audi with an economy SUV- and it would look lame. But it is your VUE and you should do with it what makes YOU happy.

You could replace the interior lights with LED.
Debong like Kyle said.
Some people like to paint their exterior C pillar black if it's body color now.
Debadge the tailgate or someone just plasti-dipped theirs (thought that looked pretty good).
My new Escape has ambient lighting that glows in the foot wells and a friends Audi has the same thing. I like it. You could do the same with some LEDs with the tips ground down so they aren't a spot light and distribute the light instead.

Tell me more!

Actually, I think I might dip the top of my back bumper, instead of getting a rubber mat for it.

I also dipped my rims, that was easy and very cheap.

Trainfan360:

I'm interested in how you made out with the cold air intake mod. I just bought a K&N CAI for my 06 Vue (not Redline) FWD V6, but have since read conflicting views about whether they help. The biggest concern appears to be heat soak, but I thought that was avoided by the baffle.

I'm hoping for a small gain in performance, MPG. and for it to sound beefier. I think I have realistic expectations, but I don't want to go backward.

I love the V6 and it's a bit of a sleeper, since no one expects my econo-SUV to move as quickly as it does.

Off topic, but I think I've finally found a worthy successor: Chevy will be making a 301hp V6 Equinox. I've got 127K on my V6 (running perfectly w/rebuilt trans w/Acura shift points rather than the detuned Saturn only shift points on the stock Acura trans) and I plan to keep it a while, so it's not really an issue for me yet. But I've been worried about finding something equally quick to succed my Vue in an equally cheap SUV.

Your black Redline is gorgeous, btw. I love the wheels and hate mine. The non RL AWD wheels are nice, but my stocm FWD model wheels are not. They also haven't aged well.
