Default 95 Saturn SL2 automatic transmission whinning...help

I have a 95 saturn sl2 automatic and the transmission is whinning and it will stop pulling after about two blocks. I have changed the filter and fluid and replaced the valve body today but it still stops pulling after about two blocks. If I stop the car and turn it off and let it sit for 30 seconds it will start right up and drive off. The whinning will start shortly afterwards and the car will stop pulling. The fluid level is full. HELP...What can this problem be?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

This is typically a symptom of low fluid. Are you sure you're checking the level properly - engine warm, idling in Park, on level ground?
