Electrical Problems
I have a 2002 Base model VUE, 4 speed manual & 4 cyl engine. The problem I have is that there is a static noise coming from the center console, it makes this noise 24/7 key in or out of the ignition. This also effects the door sensor, rear door lock and dash, they all make clicking noises oh and to top it off the power steering works when it wants. I could deal with all of these annoyances if the vehicle could pass the California smog test, but it doesn't so I need to fix the problem, My mechanic states the part number is 22706886, he is working for free so he is in no hurry I am though. Thanks

That's your BCM Body Control Module... It's the brain and central electrical network of your VUE. Everything you described is routed through this module.
You need it replaced... ... 2006 Black VUE Red Line - iOS7 coming soon
