Question Hid help

Hi

I have been reading here about people having issue installing HID

I have bought my astra today, and i have HID kit outside sitting to be installed

I was wondering if someone can tell me what i need to buy? should i buy a resistor? or should i buy a error code cancellor?

also i red that the HID bulb wont fit there, and i have to have HID bulb holder so that the bulb would sit? i didnt take off my bumper yet to see , i just want to have everything ready so i would do the job once

Any help would be more than appreciate, also if someone can tell me how to remove the front bumper, and also the back since i would be installing a rear camera and EPS parking sensor

Thanks again for the great forums and the great supportive people

Doing a quick search gave me these threads.

Though not HID, HIR is an option.

Thanks for the help

I just order warring error decoder, and i will plug it to the hid and see if it will work

My question, i have red that the 9005 will not fit the housing without a special mounting to lock it in the housing, is that true? or it will fit and lock in the OEM headlight housing?!

Thank you in advance

I didn't have any issue fitting the HID bulbs in the socket; no modifications were required. I went the route of resistors to prevent the bulb out message. I would highly recommend using a relay wiring harness as otherwise, it is possible to burn out the factory light wiring harness if a ballast fails in a certain way.
