ok so my body on my l200 is pretty screwed, i washed, waxed and buffed but it only goes so far, this thing has seen more time out if the state its been regestered in then in lol. it needs dents filled in and at least a new front bumper. the grille is falling out and the headlights are cloudy, so this is the thread that will adress all issues, even do the plasti-dipping itself

The only thing I can comment on is 3M makes a headlight rejuvenation kit that works really well to fit discolored head lights.

Toothpaste and Elbow Grease>3M and cheaper. Tell us more about this 'trunk dip,' as the rust is starting at the bottom of my trunk and I am contemplating a new one as I cannot stand rust!

plasti-dip wont stop rust, its a form of spray on vinyl that can be easy to remove, i would say get a new trunk, my car was a tennessee so no salt, im gonna POR 15 the underside, thats the only stuff i know of that you can slap over rust and stops rust, im doing it to mine to prevent it, on the subject of the headlights, the best thing ive done that worked is sand with 1000 grit wet, then hit em with clear, im holding off till later, im gonna do a projector/HID install.
