well whats the difference between the two which is better for my car

cold air intake would be my choice. cold air into the intake will atomize the fuel better and give better performance and run slightly cooler too.

short ram intake just replaces the intake box/tubing with a metal tube and a cone filter right around where the battery is (it should be in the same general location as the old air box)

cold air intake, the filter has to go underneath the tranny, and usually you can only have it on a manual tranny due to the auto-tragic tranny filter getting in the way.

The proper way to fix a S-Series automatic is to replace it with a 5spd O:)
