Dazed Please Help me get home.

Hi...
I have a 2001 S Series 4-Door Sedan, We got it a new battery because it had been sitting in the garage for about 4 months and because my new job is 112 miles from home and it gets great milage. My problem is it bucks and lurches on acceleration.

At first we put some Fuel Injector cleaner in it, which met with some success then we used Mobile Special grade fuel, and it ran wonderfully. Then it sat for 3 days, and then I put in BP mid grade fuel, and the bucking started again.

I have to drive 112 miles to get home, can you please advise me as to what the problem could be?

Thanks

P.J.

Sounds to me like there is just some bad fuel in there. Fuel injector cleaner is your best friend. Take off the EGR and clean that too. Check the ECTS and the connection to it. Also, clean out the throttle body. Should run like brand new after that.

Thank you...
I want to put some octane enhancer in for the trip home. I have a friend that is a big saturn enthusiast, - I wanted to point in the right direction.

IF it is bad fuel, try to fill it up as much as possible to dilute the bad fuel. I wonder how hard it would be to drain the gas in there and refill?
