Default Costco Oil deal

The Shell or Chevron oil is on sale by the case at Costco again. Just a heads up for all the cheap Saturn owners out there like myself.

at what price?

I got 5 qts of Quaker State 5W30 and an STP filter for $9.99 at Autozone last week. Have to mail in to get $7.00 of that via a rebate, though. The also now have a card, where if you make 5 purchases of $20 or more, you get $20 credit, and the $16.99 before rebate amount applies towards it.

On my cars that use lots of oil I don't spend the money for synthetic.

It usually works out to about 2 bucks/quart. I haven't actually gone in and bought any yet this year.

According to BITOG, it's a good "sleeper" oil.

Local Bond Auto has a "pump your own oil" option, a tad over $2/qt but far cheaper then driving all the freaking way to Costco, and paying the membership fee. Also cheaper then the $3.7/qt they want for the prepackaged stuff.

The proper way to fix a S-Series automatic is to replace it with a 5spd O:)
