Default 2001 SL2 No spark from the coil

Not getting any spark from the coil, replaced the coils and ignition module and still nothing. Replaced the CPS and still no fire. Checked all the fuses, and still nothing.
Any ideas why i'm not getting fire? Could it be the PCM?

Are you getting fuel? If it's the PCM (most likely a wiring problem of blown fuse--PCMs rarely fail) it will often cut off the fuel as well.

As I'm guessing you already know, the CPS/CKP is the most common cause of this type of issue. While unlikely, it is possible that the replacement was already defective (particularly if you got it new, from a parts store, instead of an OE quality one from a junkyard). Where are you checking for spark? The "correct" place to check is between the coil towers, with the plug wires removed (checking at the other end of the wires is less reliable, particularly with a waste spark system--the spark must return to the coil, not to ground).

Double check the PCM fuses (there are two). Don't just look at them, check them for continuity with a multimeter or test light. If it's a PCM fuse, there will be no fuel, in addition to no spark.

I am getting fuel, and I recently (2mos) replaced the starter and battery. I'm checking for spark between the coil towers. The CPS I purchased is new and to the best of knowledge is a functional part.
Any other ideas?

Also, I replaced all relevant fuses just to be sure.

Its not likely to be both fuel and ignition issues at the same time unless the pcm fuse is blown. There are less than a handful of members replacing a failed pcm and most do so out of desperation when it was mostly due to everything related to the pcm.

1-Are you sure the cps is fully seated and not leaving a gap that creates a new dead engine condition?

2-Check for spark again at the coils by leaving the plug wires off while someone cranks the engine while you observe for spark. Most loss of spark issues are cps faults while the rest are ignition control module failures. No one has posted about two coil failures but its always possible.

3-Fuel and pressure checked at the fuel test valve by seeing fuel spray when the valve stem is depressed?

*There's more to a/c than just a few cans of refrigerant*
*There's more to brakes than just replacing parts*

I have the same problem on a 1995 SL2 and need suggestions. My 1995 Saturn sl2 DOHC died when I was pulling up to a stop sign. It is getting fuel but no spark. Battery is new and cables are clean. No fire at the computer. Everything else works. Fuses and relays good. Replaced CPS, computer, coil packs, spark plugs and wires. Compression 150,120,150,150 so I know it is not a timing belt. What else can I do?

"Getting fuel" as in wet spark plugs or just fuel spraying out the fuel test valve? With a new crank sensor and still no spark, did you replace the ignition control module? The icm is the part the two ignition coils plug in to.
