2005 ION-2 Sedan
Default adding automatic lights

I was wondering is it possible to add automatic lights to my 05 Ion level 2. The light switch on the steering column seems like it has the feature built in. But not sure. I kno ill need the light sensor up in the defroster grille. But will that be all I need? Is the wiring already there? I kno our nissan has the harness for it, but no actual sensor installed. Haven't gotten into my dash yet. So I don't kno if it has the wiring or not.

Thanks
James

automatic headlights is a feature controlled by the BCM, as far as I know, the wiring, and the BCM program for that feature, are both absent from ions not equipped with the feature, especially the level 2, to the best of my knowledge, didn't come with them.

You never added it to yours? Seems like a mod you'd have been interested in since you did the fogs.

the OEM fogs are controlled by the BCM also. mine are controlled by a toggle switch, and not tied into the BCM or headlights any other way.
