Default shop vac supercharger :P

I'm getting rid of my saturn cause the brake like blew out and I wrecked it. So I was bored and I decided to make a shop vac supercharger. It makes 881234 PSI of boost!

Video up my supercharger

Video of the crash. Camera was mounted and I was looking at the road.

Unless it was an intersection the smart thing to do woulda been swerving around the truck.

Unless the body got bent or the rear suspension, that looks like maybe $150 in damage and 3-4hrs of work to me. Not worth ditching the car, even with the battery light on (think that's what I saw in the bottom right)

Well first off Dumbazz for doing 85 while playing with a camera. If you was doing the speed limit then it could been avoided. Second the car looks like it can be fixed with a few minor parts. Your shop vac video dont work.

There is body damage to the inner quarter panel and c pillar. The strut is also bent in. This was on a 4 lane divided highway. There was a concrete barrier to my left and a guardrail to my right. There were actually 2 cars stopped. One was broken down in the left lane and one was just stopped in the left lane which i was in. Swerving wasn't an option. I could have died or been seriously injured if I didn't pull the hand brake. Luckily I was wearing my seat belt and walked away with out a scratch. Yes this while thing could have been avoided by not speeding and recording a video but it did.

Fixed shop vac link.

There's a video floating around of some guys doing this to a Trans-Am (I think) with a leaf blower. A gas powered leaf blower. Remember that most gas leaf blowers vent their exhaust in with the blown air stream.

You have to set up some pretty serious filtration on something like that if you haven't written the car off already... I'm too lazy to look up the video right now, but IIRC they actually got a couple of HP out of it.

SAT Test question #47: This ENTIRE exercise FAILS because:
  1. Stunt attempt with an SOHC
  2. Extreme over-rev
  3. With LOW COOLANT LIGHT ON
  4. While operating a camera
  5. With brakes of unknown reliability
  6. First thought following the above is to attach a shop-vac to the intake
  7. All of the above
