Default I'm Tripp! Just bought a 98 sedan. It gets hot here in The Desert.

My first time owning a Saturn and I'm liking it so far.
I bought mine off CL and kinda jumped the gun a bit because she's got some tranny problems but with the help of this site I'm headed in the right direction.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Welcome to the board! More details about your Saturn are always nice, besides just the year and body. Single or twin cam? auto or manual? miles?

I've been lurk/posting myself for a couple days myself since acquiring my own (most recent) Saturn.

And Phoenix, eh? We took a short vacation down there in January to escape the blahs of the Northwest. I absolutely loved it!

I call her Goldielocks. She's gold with the tan interior. Pretty good shape inside. Just dirty.
Looks like she was in a low mpg fender bender. Air bags have been popped and only drivers side replaced.
DOHC with 134k. Auto tranny. Power locks but not windows.

There really is something about these cars.

Yeah, there's really something about these S Series auto transmissions! They are easy to work on though. What did you pay for it? If you don't mind.

Paid 1,600 but should have talked him down because of the tranny issues.

Still not bad. And I found out about the trans issues after I brought mine home too. Paid 1200 for a 99 SL1 w/ 124k miles, 2 years ago. And I know now that I could have gotten a better deal!

Picked up a junkyard valve body. Was pretty damn easy to remove so confidence is high! I ohm tested the solenoids and they hit the mark.
When I opened the valve body itself and tested them again they ran higher than the 5.0 mark but they were all consistent.
What kinda ohm number should I see when testing them outta the body. I did this outside so my ambient temp was about 100+
