Default 1st Gen Custom SC Restoration/Redo

Fixed all and any leaks and proceeded to bring this car back to, and beyond it's former glory. Haven't posted here in a while, but figured I would share what I've been doing to this car. THis site is informative, and I appreciate the info you all have shared, it's making things easier for me.

Then

http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z120/AllBlkdOut07/sc_interior.jpg[/img]

Now Quite Sad (actually before removing rear subframe/strut asembly)

Tore whole interior out, fixed all leaks, added sound deadener.

Where I used to get 8" inches of water, sanded down, painted.

RAAMat BXT sound deadener

Ensolite Foam

I must say that looks very, very nice. Both the quality of your work and the tastefulness of the mods come through nicely. Everything you've shown there (with the exception of the yellow under the hood) looks BETTER than stock. The valve cover, seats, dash, doors, and powder coated stuff all look great.

Did the car belong to you when it had its picture in the magazine?

Well done on keeping the mods tasteful and professional.

since the car was in a magazine I wonder if you will be keeping the underhood mods or going back to stock since some of that stuff might not be made anymore.

Thank you, yeah, the yellow shows the car's age, it'll all be gone, keeping the color scheme, black, greys, silvers..etc.

I am the original owner, car was also featured in Sport Compact Car Magazine.

Def not going back to stock. Some of the engine mods:

Ported, Polished, Milled Head 11:1 Compression
ExtrudeHone Port-Matched Intake Manifold
Port-Matched HPC Coated Header/Downpipe
4-Ange Valve Job
OverSized Forged Aluminum JE Domed Pistons
TotalSeal Gapless Rings
PowerKote Thermal Barrier Coated Piston Domes
Dry Film Lubricant Coated Piston Skirts
Meta-Lax Stress Relieved Engine Internals
RC Engineering Flow-Matched Fuel Injectors
RC Engineering BigBore Throttle Body

As you can see, the engine bay needs a lot of work and TLC. What it used to look like when it was clean and well taken care of

Why can't I edit my own posts? I wanted to fix the one photolink I forgot to change to [img] from the

I assume I don't have a high enough post count? Still weird I can't fix any of my own posts, especially in my own threads.

Now that's WEAK. If a mod could fix the one photo link it would be much appreciated.

It's 15 minutes. There isn't "a mod". Charlie administers/moderates the entire site, and as a new dad, he's pretty busy.

Nice car; nice to see that when done right, small+custom != rice.

Damn I wanted to get my sn changed too so it matched my sn on another site..oh well.

Thanks, but rice? Not sure what you meant to say, but rice and my car will never be used in the same sentence.

well if you pm Charlie about the sn change he should be able to do it if no one has it already. from my understanding the time limit is not to inconvenience anyone its so people cant go back and edit a post and cry that someone was picking on them or something like that.

car does look nice
