Default Tire size for 16" alloy rims

I was wondering if any one knows how big of a tire you can put on a 2007 Saturn Vue L4. The stock wheels are the 235/65/16 but I would like to go bigger and don't know how big I can go. Or even just to change to a different size to get more tire options seeing how there arent that many in the 235/65/16 size. Thanks in advance to all those that reply!

If you are wondering how wide a tire you can put, guys have successfully put 255's on the Vue. Most that go in that direction usually go to 18+ inch wheels. Not sure what there is in 16 inch that would work well.

actually i was looking at going with a larger diameter, maybe a 235/75/16, about an inch in diameter for difference and wanted to know if anyone has tried it and if it fits well

There was a guy who did a mini lift and some bigger tires. Can't remember exactly who or what though.

I have 235 60 17 on my 05 and when i was looking for snow tires for it..i found a set that were 235 55 17. I didn't notice any speedo difference, and sure you wouldn't either if you got the size you wanted. I think there is enough space and clearance wouldn't be an issue if you got them.

I have 235/70R16s on mine.

And the guy who did the mini lift had big spacers and had 245/70R17s I think. They were Yoko or Nitto tires.
