Question Should Saturn Accept GM Card Earnings?

Now that Saturn has started offering various types of incentives, should they also accept GM Card earnings?

Post your thoughts!

Thanks,
Charlie

Since Saturn has been accepting GMCard earnings for some time in Canada I don't understand why they don't accept them here.

I suppose that if we called the Saturn Customer Assistance Center we could find out (NOT!).

They did for the LK in 2000 for 2 months in the US. I saved $2,400! My VUE I got a supplier discount of $830.

OK.

I could provide a more intelligent answer if I even knew what the aych eee 2 hockey sticks "GM Cards Earnings" are. I have seen others talk about these, but have no clue what they are.

How do you earn these?

Do you have to be Employed by GM or subsidiaries?

Do you have to be a member of some super secret society?

Depending on these answers, you may have to add a third option (Don't Care or Not Applicable).

Its a credit card (GM Card) and you get earnings based on the amount you spend go the www.gmcard.com if you want to find out more info about it. I have one. But I think the earnings just suck

I don't believe in Credit Cards. So my answer would be "I don't care/Not applicable".

If Saturn is going to offer some of the GM incentives, they might as well offer all of the GM incentives. It can only help sales in a very competitive market.

I'd love it - of course I'm sitting with a $2300 earnings balanced.

Kind of like being all dressed up, but having nowhere to go.

The GM-VISA card is what started me on the road to buy a Saturn in the first place.
I had signed up for the card at an autoshow in Toronto, at a time when I needed a card with 0% interest, but no intention at the time of buying a car (I was driving a new Dodge Neon), and I thought, what the heck, might as well.
So the dollars started adding up, and I needed a new car, so I looked through the whole GM stable - and nowhere else. My sister recommended Saturn, I went to the retailer, and was hooked.
Had it not been for the card being accepted there, I definately would not have bought the car.
Saturn (home office) should pay attention stories like this, and start marketing like they mean it.

How long is Saturn going to play the part of poor second cousin in the GM marketing "strategy".

Saturn just announced it want's to expand it's market share. With some models that will be direct rebadge GM vehicles. Manufactured right alongside other GM brands. Saturn should defintley be allowed into the program. We still have 3 1/2 years with our L300. Maybe by then I can use my earnings. I'm already over $700.

In 1994 we bought a Saturn and thought it was great. Since then we have bought a Cavelier, Sonoma, and Grand Am. These car were purchased with GM card rebates to the tune of $4500. We currently have $1500 in rebates accumulated and once again will prbably not buy a Saturn because of the the lack of this rebate.

They let you use GM points for 2 months in 2000 (July and August I believe). Got $2,400 off. If not for this would not buy a Saturn. The supplier discount on the VUE was nice too.

Not me! I have visited Canada, and enjoyed it very much. If it were located further south I'd probably move there. The people of Canada were all polite and NICE (sort of how I remember America and Americans were like when I was growing up in the 1950s).
