I've used tyc in both my truck and car with no issues.
I get them from rock auto 2 days to my house with free shipping.

With the recommendation from this thread i went ahead and bought a DB starter from the link provided, but i just recieved it today and it says it's a CHINA starter. Does this mean it's not as good as when you guys recommended it?

They are ALL Chinese made starters. You just bought the ACDelco or Valeo starter at the much lower price.

Killakittie:

Please do not post full sized images in forum, just post the link or resize them down to a reasonable size. These oversized images blow up the format.

Can not fix the post. This program will resize for you rather easily. http://www.xnview.com/en/ There are versions for every platform. You open the graphic and click the resize icon on the tool bar, shows a large image and a small image with a bidirectional arrow between. Generally keep the width to 800 or less. Read the help to setup your directories before using. The manage attachments will upload and resize the smaller images. Manage Attachments is a button below the REPLY TO THREAD text box.

1997 SW2
Default Re: Starter replacement, best aftermarket brand?

this came from Rockauto.com and performing strong after a month. The brand is WPS. It stood out because the manufacturer encloses a test report on the unit for what it's worth. The $52.00 price also stood out. The advice here to get a mirror, a 6" socket extension and a stud to replace the hard to line up/install upper bolt was a godsend.
