2007 VUE Green Line
Default 2007 Saturn Vue Hybrid long time to get parts!

Since April my 2007 Saturn Vue Hybrid has been in the shop twice. The first time was to replace Air Conditioning under warranty and the second was to replace Starter/Generator and all Hybrid batteries under warranty. The first repair was done at the Cadillac dealer in Bowling Green, KY and the second was done at Tom Bannen Chevrolet in Nashville, TN. The first trip took 10 days to get authorization from GM to repair and the parts. The second repair trip took 14 days for the authorization and parts for the starter/generator and hybrid batteries.

Is anyone else getting this long of delays to get warranty work out of GM for their Saturn? Is this unique to Hybrid Vues?

Sign me an unhappy Saturn owner!

Jeri (this is my 4th Saturn)

We've had pretty good luck with our Saturn service department in terms of time to get parts. We had the batteries replaced (under recall) a while ago, and they were able to get the parts within a day or two, and the repair only took a few hours. Is this repair you're doing part of the recall? The A/C system is the same for all models, hybrid or not, so that shouldn't take very long either. I think this is the difference between Saturn service and other GM makes...I'm not looking forward to it. Our Saturn shop (Saturn of Lafayette) is still open, and we've been very satisfied with them.

This was a limited-run model, so parts aren't going to be as available as those for other Saturns, sadly. We have a VUE GL and an Astra, so it's going be very interesting for us... Keep in mind that Chevrolet sold the Malibu Hybrid with the same drivetrain as your VUE GL, so for hybrid-specific work, the Chevrolet dealer is probably the best place to take it.

You're lucky that your Saturn retailer is still in business. Luckily, the local Chevy dealer has been pretty good with handling our Saturns so far. Reportedly some of the Saturn techs moved there.

Hmm. Green Line and an Astra, eh? Good choice!
